Keep Calm

What is the “keep calm” craze all about?

The slogan Keep Calm and Carry On was a poster designed by the Ministry of Information in England in 1939. It was produced as part of a series of three publicity posters (the others read "Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring Us Victory" and "Freedom Is In Peril. Defend It With All Your Might"). Each poster showed the slogan under a representation of a "Tudor Crown" (a symbol of the state). They were intended to be distributed in order to strengthen morale during World War II.

In the early 2000’s the theme resurfaced and has since been seen on t-shirts and posters around the world.

We have now joined this trend, but wish to spread the message in a different light: we want to use the mission of this organization to continue to spread the message that we love Pawtuxet Village, and that it truly is a great place to live. The best kept secret is that when you visit our quaint village, all your stress will leave you and you will feel calm.

Mugs are available for $10 each at Twice Told Tales, 2145 Broad St. in the Village.
